your answer below, then please do Contact Us

Q. How do I purchase an app?

A. Most of our products are only available via an app store, the product pages will

provide links directly to the app store page relating to that product.

Returns and refunds

With digital products it is not possible to return the goods. All sales are final and we are not able to issue refunds. Please refer to our terms of sale

Q. The Read with Biff, Chip & Kipper app only has 6 levels, but my child is on level 8, what's going on? Where are levels 7-9?

A. There are two parallel Biff, Chip & Kipper series from Oxford University Press. Ours is the home reading series with six levels and is designed to complement the nine level Classic series which is used in schools. The classic series is not currently available as apps.

Q. I can't hear any sound, what can I do?

A. We know it's really obvious, but is the volume turned down?

On an iPad. The slide switch next to the volume control can be used to lock rotation -or- act as a mute switch. In Settings - General, you can control the operation of that swicth. You can get into a situation where it was put on mute, the operation changed and now it DOESN'T unmute. Changing the setting will cure that.

Alternatively, in Read with Biff, Chip & Kipper, the music can be turned off by tapping the musical note icon at the top right of the screen where it appears.

Q. I can't open a book that I bought/It doesn't work properly/I still can't hear any sound?

A. It is probably an error in downloading and what you need to do is re-download that specific book. With the book visible in the bookshelf, hold your finger on it for a few seconds and then let go. You should see a little red 'X' in the top right corner of that book.Tap the 'X' and the book data will be deleted. It should now show an open padlock. This means that it has been purchased but not downloaded. Tap the book and it will download. When complete, the padlock should disappear and you'll be able to access the book.

Q. I downloaded an update and my previously purchased books are now locked - why?

A. This can happen. Simply tap any locked book and you will see the purchase options screen. At the bottom of the panel is a link 'Restore Purchases'. Tap that and iTunes will compare what you have purchased with what is on your device and (re)synchronise the device.

Q. Some of the purchase options are expensive, how can I prevent my child from making an accidental purchase?

A. There are a number of ways this can be achieved. For iPad, iPod, iPhone. In Settings/General/Restrictions you should 'Enable Restrictions', enter a unique password - not the same one as the device password. Slide In-App Purchases to Off. Change the timeout for Require Password to Immediate. This may be a good opportunity to also review the types of content allowed on your device - age ratings etc. Alternatively, make sure you are not signed into iTunes. If an In-App purchase is attempted, the iTunes password screen will appear.

Q. How do I get a refund from Gazoob?

A. If you acquired Read with Biff, Chip & Kipper through any App store, you need to talk with them directly. We are not allowed to refund purchases made through app stores. They each have their own policies and procedures.

Q. I bought this app on my personal credit card, how can I get a receipt?

A. Receipts should be automatically mailed to you. There's nothing you need to do (or can do) other than confirm that your current email address is correct in your iTunes Store account and make sure no anti-spam filter or over-zealous firewall is blocking emails from Apple. It sometimes can take a couple of days for a receipt to be sent. You can always look up purchases by logging into your iTunes Store account and going to the Purchase History part of the Account section of the Manage menu at the bottom of the iTunes main screen

My question is not answered here! What should I do next?
