Three years on from the publication of the NESTA Next Gen review saw the launch of the Business and University Games Syndicate (BUGS) at BAFTA, London, on the 25th February. Our CEO Ray Maguire has been an integral part of supporting the continued development of the UK Games Industry and its intent to become world leading again and was delighted to host the proceedings that saw some of the industries greatest show their support.
One of the recommendations from the NESTA Next Gen review was that there should be greater collaboration between industry and Universities, and that is what BUGS has set out to improve. Lead by Jon Hare from Tower Games and Professor Carsten Maple from Luton University.
